LIKE NO ONE IS WATCHING
A really good friend was married today. He comes from a large family and there were children everywhere! There’s
something endearing about little kids when they dance at weddings. First, they’re
just too cute in their Sunday best; pretty party dresses and big boy suits.
Girls typically dance while the boys run in circles around the room. When
little kids dance they start with that little kid jump, an up and down bounce while
they try to catch the beat of the music. Then they transition to a back and
forth rock, heads dipping in and out. Next comes the clap, sometimes off beat
but always enthusiastic. And then we it gets really good to them, they spin on
one foot or toe because pretty party dresses are so much fun when the skirts
spin. Childen dance like it’s the most natural thing to do. Little kids dance
like no one is watching.
